Written Content, All The Way

Written vs Video Content

When people ask me what my favorite pastime is, I usually answer, “Netflix, playing Mobile Legends, and writing on my blog.” Then people would respond, “Ooh, what’s your channel’s name on YouTube?” So I have to go on and on to point out the distinction between blogging and vlogging.

As we all noticed, everyone’s all about short-form content lately — TikTok and Instagram, to be precise. And while I love watching those, I still get a lot more insights from reading a blog written by my favorite bloggers or on Medium. Even my favorite bloggers don’t update their content as much as they did before because they’re also focusing on videos.

That being said, I still think that blogging has its audience and there are still people like me who enjoy reading a blog rather than being consumed by TikTok.

Anyhoo, I intend to write more on my site. I occasionally get overwhelmed by the ideas that I end up not writing at all. Have you ever had that? Too many things to do, so nothing gets done? Because that’s what happens to me when I try to blog. I want to write about this and that, but I end up writing nothing.

I figured out that one of the possible reasons is that I want to do a lot of things at once. You can call me a “multi-passionate person”. I tend to hyper-focus on my current obsession and then I forget about everything else. Which also means I am indecisive when it comes to what I want.

Lately, I wanted to start a small stationary business or maybe sell digital products because I have graphic design skills and I want to use them to earn extra income.

I am also intrigued by TikTok and YouTube, and I also wanted to create video content, but I don’t know where to focus. And on top of that, I have too much anxiety showing people my face and talking in front of my camera. And.. I have a kid who for sure will annoy me every step of the way and I don’t have the energy for that. Excuses. 😂

Or… just you know, continue writing as I had a brilliant success with my blog before I decided to delete my old content. Yet again, I don’t know what content to focus on. Reviews, motherhood, parenting, tech, or just life in general? Let me know in the comments below. I’d love to hear from you.

I enjoyed writing. It brings me to a place where I can see things from a different perspective. And honestly, putting my thoughts into words is very helpful for my anxiety.

What inspired me?

What inspired me to write again are the views. During the last 30 days, despite not updating my blog for a while and with only 3 content posted, my sessions are still looking good.

It may not be much, but knowing that people read about what I write makes me want to write more. I write mostly about my experiences, but I hope that they would help people who are in the same boat as I do.

I am so excited as to what is to come and hopefully, I’d be able to show up in the blog as often as I can.
