I honestly have no idea what to write but I told myself I’m going to show up in my blog everyday so here’s a day in my life as a Kindergarten Mom.

I don’t want to bore you with the details, but today I started my low dopamine morning because apparently, it should change my life. They said; when you wake up, you should turn off your alarm and put your phone in another room. You’re not supposed to have coffee and use your phone in another hour or two.

My Morning

So I did that, went downstairs, did a load of laundry. Imagine the chores I finished in 30 minutes without scrolling through my phone.

After I did some chores and prepared breakfast, Dreu woke up and had his breakfast. I then asked him to take a bath. I prepared his uniform then relaxed a little bit before heading to school.

Lucky for me, Dreu’s school starts at 1 in the afternoon, so I have a very relax morning.

My Afternoon

Then, we went to school, dropped him there and instead of going home, I decided to stay at SM. It just takes too much time and energy to to go home and back, when I have to pick him up after 2 hours, anyway.

Here’s a photo of my afternoon snack while waiting for my kid and a parfum I bought from this store called Ian Darcy.

I’ve seen and heard of them so many times before but I never had the chance to buy a perfume from them because usually I have so many perfumes given to me as a gift.

So this time I ran out of perfume and instead of spending thousands on perfume, I decided to try Ian Darcy. They get inspiration from famous perfumes and make their own. I’m not sure if it’s called a dupe or what but they smell almost the same as the original.

I got the Incanto Shine, and it really smells like the real thing.

After that, I decided to let time pass by going to my favorite Starbucks. Just kidding, it’s the only Starbucks in the city, so I don’t really have a choice. Before you tell me to go to local coffee shops instead of the coffee chain, most cafes in our city are just aesthetic and don’t really have good coffee.

So anyway, I ordered a Venti Salted Caramel Cold Brew because I needed more caffeine. But at first, this one tasted a little sour. They might have steeped the beans longer than usual because it doesn’t taste as good as the other cold brews I had before.

But if you give it a good shake, it would then taste fine. Maybe because of the caramel. Everything tastes good with caramel.

I also ordered my favorite Sticky Cinnamon Bun, warmed to perfection. It just doesn’t feel right drinking coffee without my favorite bun. If you haven’t tried it yet, you should.

Name in my Starbucks Cup
Do you let the baristas misspell your name, or do you correct them? Is it a big deal for you?

Also, every time you go to Starbucks, they ask for your name for the cup right? So most of the time, I tell them my name is Sza which is spelled “S-Z-A.” But there really are times that I don’t have the energy to do that so I just tell them “Sza” and they would usually write “Cha” or “Sha.” I let them anyway. I’m not that bothered anymore knowing people have spelt my name wrong a million times.

It’s been a great afternoon for me. And because I did some chores in the morning, I can spend my afternoon at the mall without worrying that a pile of laundry was waiting at home.

3:00 PM, I picked my kindergarten kid from school and headed home.

I can say this is one of the great days. I was expecting heavy rain, but it didn’t so that’s wonderful.

I hope you had a glorious day too, just like I did. 💖

PS. If you wanna have a great morning routine, I highly recommend this detailed article from The Ladders website because it helped me have a productive day. Everything starts with a good morning routine. 😉
